Playa Illetas is located on the southwest coast of Mallorca in the resort of Illetas in the municipality of Calvia between Portals Nous and Cala Mayor about 10 kilometers from Palma. Upscale luxury hotels, restaurants and stores have settled on the surrounding impressive cliffs of the quiet, beautiful bay. Playa Illetas is the largest of three small beaches that belong to this municipality and is mainly visited by locals, Italians and British.

In general, all age groups are represented here, as well as families, but the younger generation likes to come here for the beach clubs and the lively, exclusive atmosphere. The beach, which is just under 200 meters long with white sand and calm blue waters reminiscent of the Caribbean, can get quite crowded in the summer. A narrow, fortified wooden walkway at the far end of the beach leads up to the street.

The lively and sociable Playa Illetas beach is family-friendly, but most of the offerings are aimed at adults. There are no water sports here, which is perhaps for the better given the relatively small size of the beach. You can rent a pedal boat or SUP board and, of course, go snorkeling and swimming. Along the cliffs you can get to the other two beaches of Illetas, Cala Xinxell and Cala Comptessa, both of which are smaller and quieter, but still close to the stores and entertainment of Playa Illetas. The Bodhana wellness center offers massages and beauty treatments, so you'll return home from your beach day even more relaxed and perhaps even rejuvenated.

In the immediate vicinity are doctors, stores for everyday needs, elementary school, as well as secondary schools and also a sports center for sports enthusiasts.
Only a few minutes by car is the sea and the harbor, which you can also watch from your house.
